Current status (May 2025)
Approval of the land annexation has been given by both Red Deer County Council and the Town of Bowden Council.
The Negotiation Report has been submitted to the Land & Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT) requesting that the annexation receives Alberta Government approval.
Adjoining landowners were notified by LPRT of the proposed land annexation.
An objection to the annexation has been received by LPRT.
This now requires a public hearing as legislated by the Municipal Government Act.
The date of the public hearing will be announced when scheduled (anticipated to be 2nd week in July).
